Curiosity is Dying.
Bring it Back to Life.
From a young age, we’re told what to learn, how to learn it, and rarely given the freedom to explore. Algorithmic content and rigid systems are killing the love of learning we’re all born with. Does the current education system truly nurture the curiosity needed for an ever changing world?
It’s time for a change... Reimagine education... From teaching to learning... One Curiosity Club at a time...
How we transform education
Guide's Training
One hour of weekly guidance and two immersive training days each year to empower youth in launching and running Curiosity Clubs.
Curiosity Clubs
Weekly in-person spaces for youth to explore, create, and learn together. Driven by what truly makes them curious.
Curiosity Camp
A week of exploration, where Learners and Guides all over the world come together to dive deeper into their curiosities and develop lifelong skills.
Online Platform
A space where Guides manage their clubs, and Learners share projects, updates, and achievements, while gaining recognition for their learning.
What is a Curiosity Club?
Imagine a place where youth come together to share their love for learning. Where they create collaborative projects about what truly interests them, learning with and from one another. A place where youth guide each other on their learning journey, exposing each other to new ideas along the way. Whether it’s designing a prototype, creating a film, or exploring a new skill.
How do we start a Curiosity Club?
By providing training and support, we empower young people to create their own Curiosity Club and in turn facilitate other young people in exploring their interests. In which members can also collaborate on projects they’re passionate about.
Curiosity Club is a space designed by youth for youth. Guides run the club and guide others through their learning. Guides go through a coaching program throughout their time at the club, including weekly sessions and a one-day Training Experience each semester, to practice relevant skills for the club.
Where does your contribution go?
Every €500 opens a new Curiosity Club. 100% of contributions to this campaign go to project expenses and club activities for a club's first year of operations.
After the first year, the club continues with the same annual budget funded by parental contributions and other campaigns.
Currently, over 600 applicants are waiting to start their own clubs. You can make this happen.
What does a Curiosity Club budget cover?
- Project expenses: For learner-led projects.
- Club activities: For guide-led activities.
Will Curiosity Clubs keep running after the first year of support?
The clubs keep getting an annual budget from Curiosity Learning. We are able to sustain this budget with parental contributions as the clubs grow.
By donating, you’re not just setting up a new Curiosity Club. You’re building a movement of curiosity-driven education. We’re creating lasting change.
Who are we?
We are a group of young people aged 19-24 pushing for change. Instead of complaining and trying to make other people change what exists, we decided to take it into our own hands to create a viable alternative to mainstream education that does not force you leave the "safe" mainstream route. Stories from Guides
Guide in Amsterdam, Netherlands
"I’ve started Curiosity Club to create a more comfortable learning environment where learners can be themselves and enjoy learning. I felt like I couldn’t be open about the things I wanted to learn and had to stick to a strict curriculum."
Guide In Naxxar, Malta
"It's a great opportunity for people to learn more about what they are actually curious about. I want to see how learning can be more interactive and be based on the people's own questions."
